Every year, many teenagers run away from home. What do you think of the chief reasons that cause this?

          Teenagers often being seen as the future of country. They are known as momentum to strive and bring our country to compete with other leading countries in the world. As a result, they are our biggest assets and the nourishment and the education of teenagers have been emphasized . However, what become the 'fashion' now is running from home, especially among the adolescents. This is very disappointing as someone who we put on high hopes now become rubbish, a useless bum, a coward who are not good enough to face the challenge, to face the reality. This phenomenon has recently became a trend and has been brought into the limelight by mass media . It is now a serious matter and has to be given top priority in order to prevent it from worsening. As a result, we should identify the chief reasons that lead to this issue before any appropriate actions to be taken.

          First of all, teenagers run away from home because lack of guidance and caring from their parents. In this modern millennium, everyone live a hectic life to compete with each other and hope  to be the best among the best. In order to provide the family a better and comfortable life, parents now often spend most of their time in their office, working till late, causing them rarely interact and communicate well with their children. Parents always feel that it is more than enough for them just to provide their children financial assistance and fulfill their needs economically. However, do parents realize that are these what they really need? Sometimes, what they want are just love, care and caring from them. A simple act such as chatting with them can really be what they have been longing for. Somehow, teenagers now always hope that there are someone where they can complaint anything unpleasantness, someone who are willing to listen to their problems

          Besides, the pressure and strictness from the parents can also prompt them to run away from home. There is not a teenager in the world who wouldn't prefer to stay at home, close to familiar bedroom with photos of friends nearby. For a teenager, the bedroom is a haven, safe and private, somewhere to crawl into after being out on life's front lines. If, for example, when a parent scoops into a teenager's room, going through personal items, reading diaries and other confidential information, the teenager no longer feels protected by the bedroom, Teenagers also need privacy to sort out their swirling emotions. They need to feel they can escape parents' prying. Running away from home for some reasons makes them feel free, unsupervised, no curfew hours, homework, dress code, eating habits. They are not restricted to anything in the outside world. It is also seen as a rebellion against adults and their authorities. Teenagers feel that even if they are parents, they still don't have the rights to control them, to make them their puppets.

          In addition, peer pressure is also regarded as one of the chief reasons that lead to this formidable problem. Now, parents consider teenagers to be mature enough to choose their own  friends. However, it is undeniable some of them may bring about devastating adverse effect to teenagers. In order to avoid themselves mocked or isolated by their friends, they could involve themselves in something that they are not supposed to be. The situation become worsen when it has something to do with crime. These "friends" influence and lure teenagers to leave their home with a little advantages offered to them. Eventually, they are used as tools to help completing illegal tasks. Attracted to the benefits , teenagers choose to run away from home as they can secure anything they want, instead as mummy's little child back home then. Remember, teenagers have strong sense of loyalty towards friends and will go extremes to stand up for it,

          In a nutshell, the reasons which cause teenagers to run away from home come from every aspects. Therefore, to nip this problem in the bud before it brings about  effect, everyone must put in more effort and time. "Rome was not built in a day" , we must leave no stone unturned in handling this issue. Now, society's response to teenager runways is a very sad one. In most states, teenagers are arrested and held accountable for the runway. A runway is as if waving a red flag, giving warning of a family in need of help. If the family does not get the help it needs, the teenager is at risk of running away again, The lucky teenagers get caught, the unlucky ones are never heard from again.
